Brad Howland

Canadian/U.S. Income Tax Preparer

Brad Howland worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block, National Money Mart's Income Tax Department, and Fladar & Greene Chartered Accountants before forming Howland Tax Services in 1992. Brad is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals, with over 20 years of experience handling all types of income tax situations and returns.

A specialist in cross-border tax scenarios, Brad is especially aware of the tax situations of musicians in Canada and the United States, being a professional musician himself. He performs as Principal Trombone of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra, and some of the notable people he has performed on the same stage with (as an orchestral or side musician) include Natalie MacMaster, Paul Anka, Sarah Brightman, Kiri Te Kanawa, David Foster, Dudley Moore, The Moody Blues, The Three Irish Tenors, Sheena Easton, Kenny G, and Celine Dion.

Phil Hogan

Chartered Accountant

Howland Tax Services is pleased to have Phil Hogan's assistance on a referral basis. As a Chartered Accountant practicing in Victoria BC, Phil focuses a majority of his time on Canadian and US cross border income tax and planning. Phil has experience in servicing client's needs and providing relevant accounting and tax advice in a way that helps clients meet their goals.

Phil successfully passed the CA Uniform Final Examination in 2007 while articling in Victoria, is currently enrolled in the CICA In-Depth Tax Course, and hopes to use the insight and skills obtained through the course to provide an even higher level of service to his clients.

Tom Eadie

Canadian Income Tax Preparer

Also a former tax preparer for H&R Block, Tom Eadie was the Office Manager for National Money Mart's Income Tax Department before launching his own successful bookkeeping and tax preparation business True-Blue Bookkeeping in 1996.

Tom is also a professional musician, formerly of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra, and performing regularly with Trombones To Go and Victoria's Belvedere Broadcasters.

Michelle Cox

Office Assistant

Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Victoria and performs regularly around Victoria in concerts of all kinds.
